Laura’s Journey
My love of jewelry began as a young girl while exploring my grandmothers’ jewelry boxes. I remember holding each bracelet, necklace, and ring up to the light, captivated by the sparkle of the stones and the intricate details of every piece. What stayed with me most was not simply their beauty, but the memories they held. Jewelry marked celebrations, milestones, relationships, and moments that might otherwise have been forgotten. I came to understand that a beautiful piece can become part of a woman’s personal story.
Before founding Laura B. Smith Jewelry, I built a successful public relations company representing clients across several industries. My path changed while working with a prominent Dallas jeweler. I proposed designing original pieces that could be brought to life using beautiful gemstones and distinctive materials. Seeing those first designs become finished jewelry revealed what I had quietly known for years: creating jewelry was where my true passion belonged.
In 2015, I founded Laura B. Smith Jewelry and began developing collections defined by luminous gemstones, freshwater pearls, sculptural gold details, and thoughtful asymmetry.
Every Laura B. Smith Jewelry piece begins with a feeling, a destination, or an exceptional gemstone. Rather than following trends, I design jewelry that feels personal, timeless, and collected over a lifetime. Many pieces are one of a kind or created in very limited quantities, allowing the natural character of each gemstone and pearl to guide the design. My signature designs combine coastal color, quiet-luxury restraint, and unexpected sculptural details. They are created for women who appreciate individuality, artistry, and jewelry that feels as meaningful as it is beautiful.

Giving back is an important part of the Laura B. Smith Jewelry story. In loving memory of my father, who passed away in 2020, 15% of every purchase supports Hospice charities. It is a deeply personal commitment and a way to honor the compassionate care Hospice provides to individuals and families during life’s most tender moments.
